Dasa Charrier is excited to join the faculty at Miami University as Visiting Assistant Professor of Arts Management and Entrepreneurship. Her teaching and research center on preparing artists for sustainable, fulfilling careers through experiential learning. She is particularly interested in equitable approaches to entrepreneurship education and how programs can better support students from diverse economic backgrounds.

Before joining Miami University, Dasa served as the Manager of Performances and Scheduling at Texas Tech University’s School of Music, where she worked closely with students in performance production, professional development, and arts administration. In this role, she mentored student workers and helped students secure internships at the Santa Fe Chamber Music Festival and employment after graduation with organizations such as the Hawaii Youth Symphony and the Madison Children’s Museum.

Dasa’s research has been published in the International Journal of Art, Humanities, and Social Sciences and presented at national and regional conferences, including the College Music Society National Conference, the Society for Arts Entrepreneurship Annual Conference and the International Women's Brass Conference. Her scholarship explores music entrepreneurship education, curriculum design, portfolio careers, and economic equity in arts training.

Dasa is also an active trumpet performer. She has performed with ensembles including the New Mexico Philharmonic and Big Spring Symphony and recently advanced to the live round of the National Trumpet Competition. Her experience as both a performer and arts administrator informs her approach to supporting students in building creative careers.

Dasa is currently completing a Ph.D. in Fine Arts with a concentration in Arts Administration at Texas Tech University. She also holds a Master of Management from the University of British Columbia and a Master of Music in Trumpet Performance with a minor in Arts Leadership from the University of New Mexico.
